OBJECTIVECombat extreme poverty and the difficult conditions it engenders :
ON-SITE WORKERSTwo women, Catherine Mourtada, Swiss teacher and Agnès Sanders, French physician, took up in 1993 the challenge (Tahaddi) of participating in the human and social reconstruction of a shantytown in Beirut, Lebanon. During the last 7 years, the Tahaddi team has been enlarged, including teachers and social workers from the Arab world, motivated by a Christian message of love and hope.
